MUCkl 0.4.4 is out

A new release of MUCkl is available. MUCkl is a lightweight spin off project of JWChat. It offers web based access to Jabber/XMPP groupchats/conferences based on the MUC protocol without having to register for a jabber account (just enter your nickname and off you go!).
This release mainly fixes support for Firefox 3 plus some minor bugs.
Try out MUCkl at http://muckl.org or download it from http://blog.jwchat.org/muckl/.

    Hi Stefan,

Could you confirm that MUCkl project is still active, please?

    Thanks in advance,
    Cédric.

    Steve,

I meant no more maintained, no future version planned, etc, … 🙂

Currently there are no future versions planned though there is a branch for an upcoming muckl v1.0 in the svn (http://svn.jwchat.org/muckl/branches/mucklorg_1.0beta/). I just didn’t manage to finish this. That said all of the software is quite usable and in good shape 😉
If you run into any bugs, questions or feature requests just let me know I’d try to help then.

I use muckl as a public webchat for my website. I added a special feature known as ‘norloge’: it’s a simple highlightning of conversation threads in group chat:
